Re: Useful stuff we found (out)

Found it on the Gunnars forum, have not tried it myself:

Not sure if peeps have seen this but to save yourself repair costs on armour, if you are downed and dont think your going to get up before been speared, press H and quickly swap to town clothes and viola no armour damage.

So that's how you found them yesterday ...

Will join that - everyone we had for HotW did a great job; made it so easy for all routes. And there's so many things to buy with tokens ...

Re: Useful stuff we found (out)

List of things you can make during Halloween:
http://www.guildwarsinsider.com/gw2-hal … ing-guide/

From what I understand the weapons you can craft are exotic and have unique skin ( different from ones you can get from black lion chest), although mats are bit over the top for me^^

And also this:

“Our Halloween celebrations are in full swing, costume brawls are aplenty and the Shadow of the Mad King is falling across Tyria. Because we are as excited as you are, we will add another opportunity for you to get shiny Halloween goodies.

You will be glad to hear that we are adding recipes to the Mystic Forge that will allow you to throw stuff you get from the Black Lion Chests into it to get a special Halloween chest (no key needed for this one). These chests will include Halloween specific loot and give you a second chance to get one of the terrifying, rare Halloween skins. Here is the recipe we will add:

You need 1 Candy Corn, 6 Mystery Tonics, 1 Boost (any), 1 Boost (any) to get a Mad King Chest.

We hope you like this gruesome addition, we will let you know immediately when they will be in the game – enjoy the celebrations!”

That's pretty neat, I can possibly use my millions of mystery tonics^^

Re: Useful stuff we found (out)

I wish I had more BLT chests - used a bunch of mystery tonics in Costume Brawl, so have very few left. And a lot of boosters to use up. I sold my chests when they shot up in price - now I have more keys than chests ...

Music is from here, the devs posted a link while back in FB or something I think. I was going to use the Clocktower music but I now realise I accidentally downloaded the wrong one ^^

Jug of liquid karma gives you 4500 per jug (you get 1 for daily, 10 for monthly) but Karma Booster, 24h Guild karma boost and Guild karma banner affect the amount of karma given, increasing the amount per jar up to 7650.

Re: Useful stuff we found (out)

Using the mystic forge, you can upgrade crafting materials - this includes rare materials (Cores/Lodestones).

It takes 2 of the lower tier (eg, 2 cores to make lodestones), a Crystal (3 skill points for 5), Elonian wine (25 silver), and dust (Crystalline to change cores to lodestones).
Some lodestones are marginally cheaper (With corrupted you save only around 2 silver, Molten saves you around 6), but with some you can make good profits (Onyx and Charged each give you around 15-25 silver each - Onyx works out better if you start with 4 shards, turn those into 2 cores and then those into lodestones).

Re: Useful stuff we found (out)

Just been reminded of this by another thread :

You can transmute soul-bound armor pieces (except karma-bought) to give to another character on your account; works great for Orders armor or starter pieces not available later on.
On the char it's soulbound to, get a cheap piece that matches (white level is fine). Use a transmutation stone, taking the appearance you want with the cheap item's stats. It will now say "soulbound", but it's really account bound. Put it in your bank, and take it out with the character you want. You can now use that character to transmute it to the stats you want.

I've tried it with the Engineer starter backpack. But since there is not white/blue backpack, doesn't seem to work. sad

Re: Useful stuff we found (out)

wils, how it didn't work? Dru pointed out yesterday that when you transmute it does matter which side you put which item and it did make a difference indeed (that's how I got the starter wraith mask back on Eili!)

Got a few Basic Transmutaion Stones left. I'll try both sides then. I'd love to get it back. sad
